Living in Oxford
Our Short Courses offer a unique opportunity to live and study in the historic city of Oxford, surrounded by its rich academic and cultural heritage.
The campus is within walking distance of both Summertown and Oxford city centre, giving students easy access to shops, cafés, and iconic landmarks.
With students from across the world, our programmes foster a vibrant, international community. Course participants can enjoy both independent study and social interaction, making the experience stimulating, engaging, and culturally enriching.
Accommodation
Our groups can choose to stay in college accommodation or with a trusted English-speaking homestay provider, depending on their age, course, and preference for independence or a more immersive cultural experience.
Residential Houses For Teenagers
For students aged 14–17, accommodation is provided in our 15 residential houses near the Banbury Road Campus. There is separate accommodation for boys and girls, and each house accommodates between 7–25 students in a welcoming, informal, and friendly environment.
Our residential houses include:
- Single, twin, or triple rooms, with shared or ensuite bathrooms (a limited number of single rooms are available)
- Sociable communal spaces, including common rooms, small kitchens, and outdoor green spaces
- Bedding, towels, and access to laundry facilities
- Free Wi-Fi in every house and student room
- Breakfast, lunch, and dinner available in our modern dining hall
- House Parents who live on site, providing 24-hour supervision, welfare, and support
Living in a residence gives teenagers the chance to make friends from around the world and enjoy a safe, comfortable boarding experience.
Our dedicated House Parents live on site and, together with our teachers and College Nurses, provide 24-hour welfare support to ensure every student feels safe and cared for. House rules are tailored to different age groups, with daily evening curfews in place to maintain a secure and supportive environment. With our friendly and experienced team always on hand, students are well looked after throughout their stay.
Adult College Residences
For adults, accommodation in our college residences is designed to combine comfort with independence.
Adult residences include:
- Single or twin rooms, with shared or in-flat bathrooms
- Self-catering kitchens for flexible meal preparation
- Sociable communal spaces, including common rooms, dining areas, and outdoor green spaces
- Bedding, towels, and access to laundry facilities
- Free Wi-Fi in every house and student room
- Breakfast, lunch, and dinner available in the dining hall
Adults enjoy the independence of residential life while still benefiting from a supportive college environment and opportunities to socialise with fellow students.
Our dedicated Residential Managers live on site and, together with our teachers and Welfare Officers, provide 24-hour welfare support to ensure every student feels safe and cared for. Residential accommodation provides a comfortable, supportive environment for adults, with plenty of opportunities to meet fellow students and enjoy college life in Oxford.
Homestay
If you wish to immerse yourself in British culture, you can choose to live in a homestay with one of our carefully selected local hosts. All our homestays are English-speaking, welcoming, and located a short bus ride away from the College. This option allows students to practise English daily and experience modern British life, with its mix of the traditional and the multicultural.
Homestay includes:
- A single room with a shared or private bathroom (superior ensuite rooms available)
- Study area within the private room and access to shared living spaces
- Laundry service included, with bedding and towels changed weekly
- Free Wi-Fi in every house and student room
Students stay with a supportive host who provides welfare and helps you settle into your new home.
Food
Teenager Residential Houses: Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included and served in our modern dining hall, where students enjoy delicious and nutritious options with a wide range of dietary requirements catered for.
Adult residences: lunch is included and served in our modern dining hall Monday to Friday, where students enjoy delicious and nutritious options with a wide range of dietary requirements catered for. Breakfast and dinner are available as an optional extra.
Homestay students: breakfast and dinner are provided daily at the homestay, with lunch served in the dining hall. Please advise all dietary requirements when arranging any Homestay accommodation.
Snacks and drinks are also available between meals at our café, The Globe.
When on excursions or day trips, packed lunches are provided.

Our Oxford campus is made up of over 25 beautiful Victorian and Edwardian buildings, just off Banbury Road and 1.5 km from the city centre.
Facilities include:
