Merrist Wood Campus is set within 400 acres of beautiful Surrey countryside, offering a peaceful and spacious environment for learning, leisure, and new friendships.
The campus offers a truly unique setting with its working farm, licensed zoo, landscaped gardens, sports fields, and ancient woodland - the perfect place for outdoor activities and exploration.
Life on campus is centred around ‘Woody’s’ which is a hub for students to come together to socialise, participate in activities and enjoy a game of pool or table tennis.
The campus is located just outside Guildford, a lively town with shops, cafés, and cultural attractions. With central London just an hour away, students can enjoy the best of both worlds: the tranquillity of the countryside and the excitement of the UK’s capital city.
Accommodation
Students stay in comfortable residence buildings on campus, designed to provide both independence and support. There is separate accommodation for boys and girls, and bedrooms are arranged in flats.
Our residences include:
- Single bedrooms, each with a wash basin and shared bathroom
- Sociable communal spaces, including common rooms, kitchenettes, and outdoor green spaces
- Bedding, towels, and access to laundry facilities
- Free Wi-Fi throughout the residences
Living in residence at Merrist Wood is a safe, sociable, and welcoming experience where students can relax with friends and enjoy the supportive environment of our campus community.
Our dedicated residential team live on site to provide 24-hour welfare support to ensure every student feels safe and cared for.

Food
All meals are included and served in the dining hall, offering plenty of delicious and nutritious options. A wide range of dietary requirements can be catered for.
Snacks and drinks are also available between meals at Woody’s, our social hub.
When on trips or excursions, students are provided with a packed lunch.
