Our main campus is made up of over 25 Victorian and Edwardian buildings on the Banbury Road in north Oxford, just 1.5 km from Oxford city centre and just over 50 km from London.

We have excellent transport links via road, rail, and air.

During the academic year, our premises consists of two key sites:

139 Banbury Road (St Clare's, Oxford)

This is where our IB Diploma and Pre-IB students’ study during the academic year and is also where our Main Reception is based.

This is the home of our International College for adult students. It is 5 minutes’ walk from our Main Reception at 139 Banbury Road.

Getting Here

Car
Travel by Car to Oxford

Oxford is connected to London, the M25, and the Midlands by the M40 motorway. Come off the M40 at junction 8 (A40) or junction 9 (A34) to link to the Oxford ring road.

Approach Oxford from the north:

  • 139 Banbury Road: Take the Banbury Road south from the ring road. Pass the shops at Summertown until you reach the traffic light junction at Marston Ferry Road. 139 Banbury Road is first right on the corner of Lathbury Road.
  • 3 Bardwell Road: Continue further south down the Banbury Road and take a left turn into Bardwell Road. The International College is just a few minutes away.

Parking on Site

There is limited visitor parking available on site. You are advised to find alternative parking arrangements. Short-stay parking in the roads near the College is restricted to 2 hours. For longer stays, the car park in Summertown which is only 0.3 miles from our Main Reception.

Oxford Park and Ride

We strongly advise you not to come by car unless absolutely necessary, as parking is very restricted in the city. If you wish to travel by car to Oxford, we recommend you use the Park & Ride bus services.

The park and ride car parks are clearly signposted as you approach the city, and the service is fast and frequent and links car parks on the ring road with the city centre. Services run 7 days a week.

The Water Eaton Park & Ride (to the north of the city, off the A34 and the A4260 from Kidlington) serves St Clare’s and has a bus stop directly outside the college. To reach our Main Reception, take the Number 2, 2A, 7, S4 or S5 bus from the car park and ask for the Lathbury Road bus stop.

Train
Travel by Train to Oxford
  • Oxford Train Station (OX1 1HS): Regular trains run from London Paddington and London Marylebone (approx. 60 minutes). A taxi from the station to the college takes 5–10 minutes.
  • Oxford Parkway Train Station (OX2 8HA): Located in North Oxford, with frequent services to major cities and airports. A taxi from the station to the college takes 5–10 minutes.

Travel by Air to Oxford

St Clare’s, Oxford is:

  • 70km from Heathrow airport (1hr)
  • 100km from Birmingham airport (1hr 15 mins)
  • 130km from Gatwick airport (1hr 40 mins)
  • 150km from Stansted airport (1hr 50 mins)

Frequent bus services link Oxford directly to the airports. Ask for the Gloucester Green bus station in Oxford. From there a taxi to St Clare’s takes 5–10-minutes.

  • The Airline: provides a 24-hour express bus service to and from London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports (journey time 60-120 minutes).
Coach 
Travel by Coach to Oxford

Travelling to St Clare’s, Oxford is simple via The Airline and Oxford Tube coach services, with frequent direct connections from Heathrow, Gatwick, and London Victoria into the heart of Oxford. 

Ask for the Gloucester Green bus station in Oxford. From there a taxi to St Clare’s takes 5–10-minutes.
