FALAQ

INDIA, SUMMER TEENAGERS 2024

"I've been really enjoying it because I've learned so much, and it's opened up a lot of avenues for me to think further about what I would like to do down the road in my life.

Students explore some of the biggest global challenges facing society today through the lens of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

The course encourages critical thinking about how these interconnected issues - including climate change, food systems, inequality, biodiversity loss, and social impact - shape communities, economies, and the environment. In partnership with CIFAL Surrey and the University of Surrey Institute for Sustainability, the course combines academic insight with practical, real-world learning to show how organisations, communities, and individuals are driving sustainable change.

Through interactive workshops, collaborative projects, and sessions led by University of Surrey academics, students develop practical knowledge, leadership skills, and creative problem-solving approaches that can be applied both in school and in future careers. Students also gain exposure to university life and receive an internationally recognised learning experience approved by UNITAR, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research.
